Beach

The road to the beach runs mostly in the shade of trees, you can sit on a bench, of which there are many at the resort.

The beach in Byala is mixed. The main part is occupied by a strip of fine sand, in which there are stones, there is a strip of shell rock near the shore, then there is a strip of coarse sand at the entrance to the sea. And then in the sea itself there are quite large and slippery stones, so it is advisable to enter the water slowly.

There are lifeguards on the beach, and there is also a medical team. As on other beaches in Bulgaria, you can use the opportunity to rent umbrellas, sun loungers, etc. In addition to the zone with paid umbrellas, there is also a zone for free use of the beach.

If you want privacy on the beach, just walk a few hundred meters to the side and there will be no one near you.

Prices for accommodation on Booking start from twenty and a half euros per day for a double room when rented for a week. This is the price of a room in a guest house and not very close to the sea. And you will have to go back uphill.

Also in the city there are such ads with a phone number by which you can rent an apartment or a room, directly from the owner. In the city there are hotels from 1 to 4 stars.

Pros of the resort

  • Clean beach.
  • The lowest prices for accommodation and fairly low prices for food.
  • There are attractions in the town itself. Byala is definitely an underrated and under-promoted seaside resort in Bulgaria.
  • It’s surprisingly clean, there are just an abundance of trash bins in the town.
  • We have not seen a large number of benches in other resorts in Bulgaria, and not only in Bulgaria.
  • Free toilets.
  • Free WiFi zones.
  • A pleasant and unexpected bonus to all this is free parking almost throughout the entire town.

Cons of the resort

  • You have to go down to the beach, albeit via convenient steps.
  • There is a difference in altitude within the city itself, although not a big one.
  • Unusual bottom with boulders in the sea, you need to get used to going into the sea.

Conclusions

Byala is definitely an underrated and under-promoted seaside resort in Bulgaria. We were pleasantly surprised by such a neat and clean resort town. There are simply plenty of trash bins in the town, we have not seen such a large number of benches in other resorts in Bulgaria, and not only in Bulgaria. We can recommend Byala primarily to those who are looking for relaxation, privacy, but at the same time appreciate cleanliness and comfort. The price-quality ratio is the highest rating. Those who love noisy and active recreation will most likely be bored in Byala.
