Weather forecast for today: sunny and warm, temperatures up to 31°
Today in Bulgaria is expected to be mostly sunny and warm. The wind is light from the east, and in the eastern parts of the country – moderate south-east. The maximum air temperature will fluctuate between 26° and 31°, in the capital Sofia – about 27°. The atmospheric pressure will drop slightly and will be below the average for this time of year, according to the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (NIMH).
Weather on the Black Sea coast
Sunny weather is also expected on the Black Sea coast. The wind will blow mainly from the south-southeast and reach from light to moderate. The maximum daytime temperatures will be between 24° and 26°, making this day ideal for a seaside holiday. The water temperature will be comfortable – from 22° to 23°, and the sea waves will be around 2 points, which is favorable for swimming and boating.
Mountain weather
Mountain hikers can also count on good weather. It will be mostly sunny in the mountains, with small cumulus clouds possible only in the afternoon. Southwest wind, light or moderate. The temperature at an altitude of 1200 meters will be around 22°, and at an altitude of 2000 meters – around 14°, which creates pleasant conditions for outdoor activities.
Friday and Saturday forecast
At the end of the week, on Friday and Saturday, the weather will remain sunny and warm. At night and in the morning hours it will be almost windless, although in some areas of Eastern Bulgaria low clouds or fog may form. The wind will remain southeast, in the eastern regions of the country it will be moderate. Temperatures are expected to rise further, with daytime highs rising to 28°–33°, and lows fluctuating between 12° and 17°.
