Beaches of Burgas
The central beach of Burgas, stretches for two kilometers. It is located near the Sea Garden. The northern beach is almost 2 kilometers long.
How it looked today you can see in the photo. Here on the beach there were many people doing kitesurfing. The entry into the sea is not very sharp, but not shallow either, you need to watch over small children.
The sand on the beaches of Burgas has dark gray inclusions. There are many wooden paths on the beach, so it is convenient to get closer to the sea. Also, the sign in front of the beach indicates that the beach is treated against ticks.
Along the beaches there is a promenade where you can walk or ride a bike. There are restaurants and bars on the beaches. It often happens that an ethnographic restaurant is located right on the seashore on the promenade.
There are several football and volleyball fields and a playground. The beaches have lifeguard posts, changing rooms and showers. Pets are not allowed on the beach, and some beach areas are also not allowed to bring your own food and drinks. This probably means that you will need to buy it on the beach itself. Although the beaches in Burgas are cleaned, we found seaweed on the shore.
The beach, like other resorts in Bulgaria, is divided into paid and free zones. You can book a set: a tent with mattresses directly online. The price for such a set is 4 euros. And the price for an umbrella or a sun lounger in the paid zone is 60 cents.
Accommodation.
There is not as much choice of accommodation in Burgas as in Varna, but we managed to find something.
So, prices for housing this summer in the high season start from 36 euros for a whole apartment. Apartments on the first line will cost from 72 euros. Also keep in mind that in Burgas there are no hotels that offer “all inclusive” meals.
Food and what options are there?
In Burgas, hotels do not offer all-inclusive accommodation and for all tourists the main question is – where to eat? In Burgas, there are four options for food.
The first power supply option.
It is the simplest, but also the most expensive option. It is to eat in cafes or restaurants that are located throughout the city. A tip for tourists: choose those establishments that are open all year round. There, the prices are lower, and the quality is higher, because locals eat there, they will not overpay. With this method of eating, you will have to make several test orders in different establishments, read reviews, in a word, spend time before you find what suits you. And this option will be more expensive than the others.
Second option.
A budget option for food is to cook for yourself, buying products in chain stores. These are stores such as Billa, Lidl, Kaufland, Metro. With this option, the cost of food will be close to what you spent at home.
Even in Burgas we saw an abundance of vegetable and fruit shops located right on the city streets.
Third option.
It combines savings and you won’t have to cook yourself. To do this, you can buy ready-made food in those stores that have a so-called “hot display case”. Such display cases are available in Billa stores.
The fourth power supply option
This is an alternative food option and a relatively new one. Delivery of ready-made food directly to your home. In Burgas, there are several well-known services where you can order food from the list of catering establishments directly to your home. Perhaps this will not be the cheapest option, but it is very fast, comfortable and convenient. There are also online grocery stores in Bulgaria, where you can also order food with delivery directly to your home.
