Fuel in Bulgaria will be cheap until the end of summer

Fuel prices throughout Bulgaria will remain low until the end of the summer.

This was stated by the Chairman of the Bulgarian Oil and Gas Association Svyatoslav Benchev, reports Telegraf.

Over the past month, the most popular petrol and diesel fuels have become cheaper by 3-3.5%, with A-95 available in different places from 2.35 to 2.81 leva per litre, and diesel fuel – 2.30 and 2.85 leva per litre, as can be seen from the data on the Fuelo.net website.

“The good thing about the Bulgarian market is that we have many petrol stations, which creates conditions for very good competition. According to NRA, there are about 3,000 petrol stations in Bulgaria,” explained the head of BPGA. At the beginning of the season, demand for diesel fuel in Europe increased, mainly due to the growth of transport services.

“In Bulgaria, we have no problems in this regard. As long as the Neftokhim enterprise operates, we are insured. The refinery produces almost twice as much fuel as we need. So the situation is within the norm,” Benchev explained.

“There are no problems with oil prices either. They are currently around $77 per barrel. These values are maintained because consumption in China is not very good. The economy there is not working. I have said many times and I will repeat again that we are unlikely to expect any sharp changes in prices before the US presidential elections.”

This means that we will fluctuate around 80 plus or minus. If it was 84 dollars per barrel, now it has fallen to 77 dollars per barrel, the chairman of the association gave an example.

Mass-market gasoline A-95 was sold at an average of BGN 2.59 per liter, and Fuelo.net data shows that over the past month the price has fallen by only 6 cents/liter, or 2.26%.

A liter of diesel fuel could be bought at Bulgarian gas stations yesterday for BGN 2.57, and its price has decreased by 3.02% compared to July 23. For both types of fuel, there is a tendency for prices to fall.

The price of methane yesterday fluctuated between 1.69 and 3 leva per kilogram. Blue fuel was sold at an average of 2.07 leva/kg. The price depends on the price of natural gas determined by KEVR, explains Benchev.

Propane-butane costs an average of 1.18 BGN/liter, and at various gas stations it was offered from 1.16 to 1.18 BGN per liter. According to Fuelo.net forecast, there is a tendency for prices to stagnate.
