Varna and Burgas Airports to Introduce Unique Terraces with Runway Views

Varna and Burgas Airports will open runway view terraces in the summer of 2025, which will be part of the environmentally sustainable Gate Garden concept. This information was released by the concessionaire Fraport Twin Star Airport Management.

The Gate Garden concept includes the creation of green terrace spaces with low carbon emissions, which is a breakthrough solution for European airports. The new architectural concept will reduce the ecological footprint and lead to significant resource savings.

According to Fraport Twin Star, these transformations will improve the quality of passenger service and improve the functionality of the terminal infrastructure, as well as pave the way for additional innovations.

The terraces will offer a central view of the runway, which will create a unique atmosphere for passengers and airport guests.

The official opening of the new areas is scheduled for early summer 2025.
