Bulgaria food prices 2022. How are prices rising?

In order to plan your stay in a new country, you need to know what the prices are for food in Bulgaria. More than six months have passed since our article about food prices in Bulgaria was published. I wonder how the prices have changed? How much have they increased in price compared to the time when we wrote the last article. Now we will find out. We will also calculate the food basket of Bulgaria 2022 and compare it with the food baskets of previous years.

Bread and bakery products
Many stores have a fresh bakery section. You can also take fresh bread and slice it right there, choosing the thickness of the slice. Prices for bread: white from 0.81€, dark from 0.71€.

Economy class pasta from 0.59€. The last price review did not include instant noodles. But their prices have increased, and the range has noticeably decreased. And there is a shortage of them. It is interesting that with the general rise in prices, pizza prices are stable. There is iodized salt, there is sea salt.
Vegetable oil, eggs and dairy products
Olive oil, glass bottle 750 milliliters. Eggs in a package of 10 pcs. Economy class milk 3.5% fat, 1 liter package. Butter in a package of 250 grams. “Kiselo mlyako” is a traditional Bulgarian product, something between kefir and sour cream. There is also a variety of condensed milk on sale. Cheeses: Emmentaler, Gouda, Mozzarella.
Meat and fish products
